Bhopal: Exam Paper Solver Gang Busted; Three Held
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Misrod police on Tuesday busted the gang involved in providing solvers who used to appear in competitive examinations in place of the original aspirant.
The action has been taken a day after a solver from Bihar was arrested from an examination centre. Cash, gadgets and some documents were seized from the three accused, police officials said.
According to reports, a solver was caught by authorities at Central School CRPF camp at Bangrasia during CBSE examinations.
The solver was identified as Sonu Kumar Mishra (31) who was trying to appear in the examination in place of original candidate Bablesh Meena. An FIR was registered in this connection on the complaint of the principal of Central School.
DCP Zone-2 Sanjay Kumar said Sonu Kumar revealed that he was resident of Patna. He came in contact with one Jaswant Meena (30) of Jaipur while he was preparing for competitive examinations at Patna.
Jaswant offered Rs 4 lakh to Sonu for appearing in the CBSE examinations in place of an aspirant Bablesh Meena(27) of Dausa district of Rajasthan. Sonu Kumar reached Bhopal through flight on April 19 and stayed at a hotel after receiving Rs 50,000 from Jaswant as advance.
He tried appearing in the examination posing as Bablesh Meena but was caught following biometric mismatch.
On Tuesday, police arrested Jaswant and Bablesh. It came to fore that Jaswant struck a deal with Bablesh for Rs 10 lakh in return of helping him crack the competitive examination.
A tablet, two mobile phones, identity card, Rs 1.50 lakh and some documents were seized from the accused.
