'Didn't Do Intentionally': Actor Shine Tom Chacko Apologises To Vincy Aloshious For Alleged Misconduct Under Drug Influence

Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko reportedly issued an apology to actress and co-star Vincy Aloshious following allegations of misconduct under the influence of drugs. The incident was addressed during an internal committee meeting held in Kochi on Monday (April 21).

According to a report in Mathrubhumi, Shine clarified that his actions were not intentional and attributed his behaviour to his "natural style." During the meeting, he also acknowledged that his conduct may have made Vincy uncomfortable and offered a formal apology.

He also assured the committee members that he would maintain professionalism moving forward.

Vincy, who attended the meeting alone, is said to have taken a firm stand, expressing that she would accept any decision made by the internal committee. She also voiced disappointment over Shine’s name being leaked to the public but reiterated her earlier stance of not filing a police complaint, as the actor had already received a warning.

The report further stated that Shine was accompanied by his family to the meeting.

The Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) and the Kerala Film Chamber are currently awaiting the internal committee’s official report before making any further decisions or taking disciplinary action. The outcome of the committee’s findings is expected to determine the next course of action in the matter.

What is the controversy?

Vincy shared a video on her Instagram handle a few days ago and revealed that an actor had misbehaved with her on the sets of her film under the influence of drugs.

"Once, when there was a minor issue with my costume, he came forward and said, ‘Shall I have a look? I’ll fix it for you,’ in front of everyone," she said, adding that she had seen him "exhale a white powdery substance" during the rehearsal.

Reportedly, the 'actor' Vincy referred to was none other than Shine Tom Chacko. However, during her public appearance a couple of days back, Vincy stated that she wants to deal with the matter internally and not take it outside the Kerala film industry. She also mentioned that she wants to see a change in the industry which is why she decided to file the complaint with Kerala Film Chamber.

Meanwhile, Shine was arrested on April 19 after he was caught running away from a hotel in Chennai during a major drugs raid by the local police.

While the actor managed to flee the hotel on April 17, he was nabbed on April 19, and was released on bail the same day. The police has, however, now launched an investigation into the financial details of the actor.
