Khatron Ke Khiladi And Bigg Boss Not Cancelled, May Shift To Sony TV From Colors
Despite speculation that 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' and 'Bigg Boss' may be shelved this year due to internal disagreements, both hit reality shows are very much on track — just slightly delayed. According to reports both series might find a new home on Sony TV following creative differences between production house Banijay Asia and Colors TV.
Bigg Boss, Khatron Ke Khiladi on Sony TV?
A source close to the development told SCREEN, “Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi may find a new home on Sony TV due to creative differences between the channel and the production house.” According to the current timeline, 'Khatron Ke Khiladi 15' is likely to air towards the end of September, with 'Bigg Boss 19' expected to premiere later in October and probably on Sony TV.
About Bigg Boss
'Bigg Boss', the Indian adaptation of the international reality format Big Brother, places celebrities in a specially designed house, completely cut off from the outside world. Under 24/7 surveillance, contestants are tasked with navigating interpersonal dynamics, completing weekly challenges, and surviving public eliminations until one winner emerges. Hosted for several seasons by Salman Khan, the show is known for its drama, controversies, and high TRP ratings.
About Khatron Ke Khiladi
'Khatron Ke Khiladi', on the other hand, is based on the American show Fear Factor. It tests contestants' physical endurance and mental strength through a series of dangerous and daring stunts. Hosted by filmmaker Rohit Shetty in recent years, the show is a blend of thrill, action, and entertainment, making it one of the most-watched stunt-based reality shows in the country.
Bigg Boss OTT also delayed
Meanwhile, 'Bigg Boss OTT', which was originally scheduled for a June launch on JioCinema, has also been delayed and is now expected to arrive in late July or early August. A few contestants have already been finalised, though it remains uncertain whether Anil Kapoor — who was rumoured to host — is confirmed for the gig.
