When Life Gives You Tangerines Star Park Bo-Gum To Play COP In New Series Good Boy
South Korean actor Park Bo-Gum, who is currently basking in the success of his latest show, When Life Gives You Tangerines, is all set to impress his fans in a brand new avatar in his next, titled Good Boy. In the upcoming K-drama, he will be seen playing a cop.
The multi-genre K-drama, also starring Kim So-hyun, Lee Sang-yi, Heo Sung-tae, and Tae Won-seok, is set to stream on Prime Video.
The show follows the story of five former medal-winning athletes, who later become police officers and form a team to fight criminals and take down a large crime group in Korea.
In the show, Bo-gum's character will be shown to be a boxing gold medalist, but soon his life turns upside down when he is expelled from the team unfairly. Reeling from the setback, his character will then be shown landing a police officer job through a special recruitment process.
It is at his workplace that he meets the four other characters, and the five of them then form a rag-tag team, who vow to put an end to the crime in the region.
Good Boy has been directed by Sim Na-yeon, known for K-dramas like The Good Bad Mother and Beyond Evil. It is set to release on Prime Video on May 31, with new episodes releasing every Saturday and Sunday.
Meanwhile, Bo-gum's When Life Gives You Tangerines has become one of the most watched shows on Netflix, beating the like of When The Phone Rings and Queen Of Tears. It is also one of the highest-rated K-dramas on IMDb at present.
