Gujarat: Trainer Aircraft Belonging To Private Aviation Academy Crashes In Amreli, Pilot Dies
Ahmedabad: A trainer aircraft crashed in Gujarat's Amreli on Tuesday. The pilot of the aircraft reportedly lost his life, reported news agency PTI. The aircraft belonged to a private aviation academy. The plane crashed at around 12:30 pm near the Giriya Road area of the city.
The aircraft hit a tree while landing, reported Mint. It crashed in an open plot. The plane immediately caught fire, resulting in the death of the pilot. The deceased has been identified as Aniket Mahajan.

The pilot was reportedly flying solo. The aircraft took off from the Amreli airport, Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kharat said as quoted by TOI. No more casualties were reported.
"We received information about a plane crash at around 12:52 PM. The team immediately reached the spot as soon as the information was received. We controlled the fire. The pilot of the plane was seen inside. The pilot was sent to the hospital. The pilot died in the accident," Fire officer HC Gadhvi told ANI.
The reason of the crash is not known yet.
