Actor Lalit Manchanda Dies By Suicide In Meerut, Stress & Financial Crisis Suspected; Police Investigation Underway

Bollywood actor Lalit Manchanda was found dead at his residence in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on Monday (April 21). Police confirmed that the 36-year-old actor died by suicide. His body was discovered hanging in his home.

According to local media reports, police officials reached the scene shortly after receiving information about the incident. The body was taken into custody and sent for postmortem.

No suicide note was recovered from the residence. Reports further revealed that the preliminary investigation has not indicated any signs of foul play, conspiracy, or external involvement.

Sources close to him reportedly stated that he had been under mental stress and facing personal issues in recent months.

Manchanda had appeared in several Bollywood films and television serials in minor roles. He was also working on a web series, which he was reportedly very enthusiastic about.

On Tuesday, the official Instagram account of CINTAA mourned Lalit's demise and offered condolence.

Along with a photo of the actor, they wrote, "CINTAA expresses its condolences on the demise of Lalit Manchanda (member since 2012)."

A photo of Lalit, along with actor Dilip Joshi, best known for playing the role of Jethalal Gada in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has surfaced on social media.
