Kushal Pal Singh also known as KP Singh, is the man behind DLF’s famous project ‘The Camellias’ in Gurgaon. DLF Camellias is among India’s most luxurious residential projects, known for its world-class amenities. It is spread over 17.5 acres and is the residence for many CEOs, and high-net-worth individuals like Shark Tank India fame Aman Gupta, Ashneer Grover, Peyush Bansal. Property prices started from Rs 100 crore to Rs 175 crore and now touch a new record of Rs 190 crore.

Who Is KP Singh?

He was born on November 15, 1931, in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. KP completed a degree in Science from Meerut College and post-graduation in aeronautical engineering in London. Then he joined the Indian Army and was commissioned into the Deccan Horse regiment and led it at the 1954 Republic Day parade.

DLF Limited was founded by his father-in-law, Chaudhary Raghvendra Singh. In 1961, Singh left the Army to join DLF. KP Singh is known for developing projects which are earthquake-resistant. He also built shopping malls, workplaces, and recreational facilities. His big project, DLF City, is one of the most famous township developments in India.

His net worth was $20.5 billion USD, when he was ranked 12th on Forbes’ 2024 list of India’s 100 richest individuals. In 2020, after over five decades as a leader, he stepped down as DLF’s Chairman and his son, Rajiv Singh, succeeded him. Singh is now Chairman Emeritus of DLF.

KP Singh At 91

KP Singh’ is married to Indira Singh, daughter of DLF’s founder, and they have three children Pia Singh, Renuka Talwar, and Rajiv Singh. Unfortunately, his wife Indira passed away in 2018 after a battle with cancer.

At the age of 91, Singh found love again with a woman named Sheena. In an interview with CNBC-TV18, Singh shared how Indira had encouraged him to continue living life fully, even after her passing.
