Pune Road Rage VIDEO | 'People Filmed As I Was Hit In Stomach, Husband Landed In ICU — No One Helped, Now I'm Too Scared To Step Out'

A ride back home turned into a traumatising experience for a Pune couple on the night of April 18, as they were assaulted by a group at Pashan Circle, leaving the husband in ICU at a nearby hospital and the wife traumatised and injured around 11 PM, while onlookers kept passing by, watching and recording videos, but no one helped.

An FIR has been lodged at Chaturshringi Police Station regarding the case against the group. The name of the complainants are Ketaki Amaldev Bhujbal and her husband Amaldev PVK Raman.

As per the Instagram post shared by Ketaki Amaldev Bhujbal, the incident took place on April 18, 2025, around 11 PM. She and her husband were coming back home from Mukund Nagar after having dinner with their friends.

"On our way at Pashan Circle, we saw two drunk men on an Activa bike riding in between and not letting us pass. That’s when Amal honked. The man who was riding the bike started banging on our window, asking why we honked. He blocked us for the next 20 meters. That’s when we stopped the car on the side and asked him what the problem was. This man became extremely aggressive and started hitting Amal. Seeing this, I also got out of the car. Suddenly, out of nowhere, four more people came, and everyone started beating Amal. Four people were holding him and two of them were hitting," she described her ordeal.

She further informed that the group used big stones and sticks to hit her husband. When she tried to help him escape, one boy from the group kicked her in the stomach and hit her on the face.

"They got so aggressive that they threw big stones and broke all the glasses and lights. Our car is in a big mess now. We somehow managed to escape the situation, during which they scratched Amal’s ear, broke his nose, and threw stones inside the car that hit us both," she added in her Instagram post.

After the incident, the couple went to her brother, who took them both to Chaturshringi Police Station, where they lodged an FIR against the attackers and got her husband admitted to the ICU at Sai Shree Hospital in Aundh.

'Now, scared to go out'

She informed that her husband has a nasal fracture and a few more injuries, while she had stomach swelling, as per the sonography report.

She further said that she was born and brought up in this area. "Everyone knows me as ‘Waditli Porgi,’ who was so bindaas and proud of our city, our area, our country… I’m now scared to step out of the house to go to work, checking the doors at home 100 times, and traumatised by this horrifying incident. The worst part is that people on the road stopped and took videos from their vehicles. They saw this as entertainment, I guess, but none of them came and helped. What is wrong with humanity? Who is safe and where? They could so easily hit a lady. Who are these people? Why is this so common in our country?" she asked.

4 arrested

Meanwhile, Himmat Jadhav, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 4), speaking to the Free Press Journal, said, "A case has been registered against four unknown individuals on April 18. Following the incident, three suspects have been identified and taken into police custody. The investigation is ongoing, and appropriate action will be taken against them."

The suspects have been identified as Anil Londhe (50), Raj Londhe (20), and Vinayak Ghagh (55), all residents of Pashan. The dispute began over honking, which escalated into a violent altercation. Vijayanand Patil, Senior Police Inspector at the Chaturshungi Police Station, confirmed that the three suspects have been detained and the investigation is continuing.
