'Dekhte Hain Kaise Zinda Ghar Jati Hai...': Teacher Threatens Delhi Judge After Being Convicted
In a shocking incident at Delhi's Dwarka court, a retired government teacher and his lawyer allegedly issued death threats to the judge after being convicted in a cheque bounce case.
During the hearing on April 2, the convict was found guilty and sentenced to 22 months of imprisonment and a fine of Rs 6,65,000. As the punishment was announced, the convict erupted in anger and threatened the judge.
"Tu hai kya cheez...tu bahar mil dekhte hai kaise zinda ghar jati hai," (what do you think you are, meet outside and we will see you how you reach your home alive), the 63-year-old convict allegedly told the woman judge, reported ANI.

Judicial Magistrate First Class Shivangi Mangla had pronounced the judgment, convicted the accused, and listed the matter for arguments on sentence.
The court noted that the accused erupted in anger inside the court after hearing the judgment not in favour of the accused. "The accused started harassing the judge in open court in unofficial Hindi with commentary against the mother of the judge," the judge noted in the order.
The accused did not only verbally abuse the judge but tried to physically harm her as he was holding an object which he tried to throw at the Judge for not passing the order in his favour.

"Then again, they both harassed mentally and physically to resign from their jobs, and they both again harassed to acquit the accused, else they will file a complaint against me and forcibly arrange my resignation," the judge said in the order.
The court took the matter before the National Commission for Women and the convict's lawyer Atul Kumar was also asked to show cause why he should not be referred to the High Court for initiating contempt proceedings.
