Mumbai Crime News: Chunabhatti Police Seize 10 Kg Of Drugs Worth ₹10 Crore, Arrest 2
Mumbai: In a major drug bust, Chunabhatti Police have seized narcotics worth approximately ₹10 crore. Acting on suspicion during routine patrolling, the Anti-Terror Cell (ATC) unit of Chunabhatti Police Station and Zone 6’s special Team apprehended two individuals with a large quantity of charas.
According to police officials, 30-year-old Rahim Shaikh was found moving suspiciously during patrol duties. Upon frisking him, the police recovered 1.9 kilograms of charas. During questioning, Shaikh revealed that the drugs were sourced from Valsad in Gujarat.
Following this lead, police teams reached Valsad and detained 32-year-old Nitin Tandel. A subsequent search led to the recovery of an additional 8.146 kilograms of Afghan-origin charas from him.The total seizure amounts to over 10 kilograms of high-grade charas, with an estimated street value of ₹10 crore. Police are continuing their investigation to uncover the wider drug distribution network.
