Creative expression marks PR Day

The School of Media and Mass Communication at APG Shimla University celebrated National Public Relations (PR) Day with vibrant student participation and hands-on learning activities, turning the spotlight on the power of communication in shaping public perception.

Observed every year on April 21, National PR Day, initiated by the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI), honours the role of public relations professionals in society and emphasises the importance of ethical communication practices.

On the occasion, students participated in group discussions and role-play activities simulating real-world PR scenarios.

Faculty members, including Dr Neelam Sharma, Dr Vijay Shree and Ashwani Sharma, were also present on the occasion to guide the students and appreciated their efforts. They encouraged students to continue engaging with the field through active learning and responsible communication practices.

The event concluded with the message that PR is not just a profession but a powerful tool for social impact, and today’s students must prepare themselves to become ethical and effective communicators.
