Eatery owner attacked in Mohali

An eatery owner was attacked by a group of assailants in Mamoli village near Lehli in Lalru.

The victim, who has been identified as Dalwinder Singh, 30, was attacked by unidentified men with sharp weapons around 10pm at his eatery.

The suspects, around three to four in number, entered the eatery with improvised sharp weapons and attacked him after cornering him in a room. He suffered head injuries and is under treatment at a private hospital.

Superintendent of Police Manpreet Singh said, “Five persons have been booked in an attempt to murder case. The main accused, Kulveer Singh, has been arrested. Raids are being conducted to nab the rest of the accused.”
