Lotus lovers are delighted to see various colors and types of lotuses as well as fragrant Kumudini blooming in this lotus garden. The Sahasradal lotus here has become a special attraction. The number of bees in this area has increased due to the flowering of Kumudini, which has greatly benefited the biodiversity of the area. Not only this, some birds have also made their nests in the lotus leaves, which is a symbol of the rich biodiversity in this garden.

Shekhar Gaikwad of ‘Aaplam Pyaarwan’ organization says, “Through this garden, we are not only bringing the beauty of lotuses to the people, but also making them aware of the diversity and importance of nature. We have given lotus tubers and Kumudini pits to many nature lovers for planting free of cost.”

After visiting here, nature lovers can easily understand the difference between lotus and Kumudini, for which information has also been provided in the garden. The knowledge that lotus is used to make various types of medicines in Ayurveda is also available here. Apart from this, the food prepared from various parts of the lotus is tasty and nutritious, which makes it a unique feature.

More than 100 donors have actively supported this unique initiative by adopting lotus ponds. Nature lovers from Nashik city and far-flung places such as Dapoli, Kolhapur, Ratnagiri, Satar, Mumbai, Bangalore have also adopted ponds. The renovated lotus ponds are inscribed with the names of some individuals, and in some places, their organizations, groups, or families.
