SSC GD Constable 2025 Recruitment: Vacancies Increased To 53,690 Posts; Check Details
SSC GD 2025 Vacancy Revised: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) released a revised notification of the available vacancies of Constable (GD) Recruitment 2025. The current drive will now fill all posts of a combined total number of 53,690 with respect to vacancies being available under forces such as CAPFs, SSF, Assam Rifles, and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
Earlier, 39,481 vacancies were notified by the commission, which is now revised upwards. On the official SSC website, ssc.gov.in, candidates who took the exam can see the updated vacancy details.

SSC GD Constable 2025 Revised VacanciesThe Computer-Based Test (CBT) for the SSC GD Constable 2025 was administered from February 4 to February 25, 2025. The test had four sections General Knowledge, Mathematics, Hindi/English, and Reasoning each having 20 questions. Each correct answer gives 2 marks, whereas each incorrect answer deducts a 0.5 mark.
After the examination, SSC published the Response Sheet and Tentative Answer Key on March 4, with objections open until March 9, 2025 (6:00 PM), for a fee of ₹100 per question.
Result and Selection Process
The SSC GD 2025 result is awaited and will soon be declared on the official website. Once the final answer key and merit list are declared, shortlisted male and female candidates who qualify for the examination based on their performance will be invited for the further stages:
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Medical Examination
- Document Verification
Shortlisting will be state-wise, area-wise, and category-wise, as per SSC's policies of reservation. Candidates are also requested to keep visiting ssc.gov.in from time to time for updates regarding results and subsequent rounds of the selection process.
