Psoriasis Has A Herbal Treatment, Claims Patanjali Research In Peer-Reviewed Journal

Patanjali Ayurved has achieved another milestone that could lead to a major breakthrough in the treatment of 'psoriasis', a severe skin ailment. The company said that its research on this disease has been published in the peer-reviewed medical publication Journal of Inflammation Research, published by Taylor and Francis Group.

Patanjali claimed that its scientists have developed Sorogrit tablets and Divya Taila, which have proven effective in the treatment of psoriasis. Acharya Balkrishna, co-founder of Patanjali, said the research showed the strength of Ayurveda.

What Is Psoriasis?

Psoriasis is a long-term autoimmune disease characterised by red rashes, silvery scales, and intense itching on the skin. It is physically and mentally distressing for patients. Patanjali said that in allopathy, attempts are usually made to reduce its symptoms, but the risk of side effects of the medicines prevails. Moreover, until now, there was no permanent cure for it, said Acharya Balkrishna.

Patanjali's Research With Natural Herbs

Patanjali stated that it took up the challenge of using natural herbs to find a cure for psoriasis. "Our scientists created a psoriasis condition in mice in two different preclinical models and used Sorogrit tablets as well as Divya Taila on the skin. Positive results were seen in these experiments, which prove the effectiveness of this medicine. This research shows that Ayurvedic treatments are not only safe but can also provide permanent solutions to serious illnesses."

Our Goal Is To Make Treatment Affordable And Accessible: Balkrishna

Acharya Balkrishna said Patanjali Ayurved is working every day to make treatment affordable to the common man. "Patanjali's goal is to make natural and affordable treatments accessible to people. This research is a ray of hope for people suffering from psoriasis, not only in India but across the world. This effort by Patanjali is a significant step towards revolutionising the health sector by combining Ayurveda with modern science," he said.
