Drug smuggler dies in encounter with Shahkot police

Drug smuggler Gurpreet Singh alias Gopi died in a police encounter with Shahkot police in Jalandhar.

SSP Harvinder Virk said that during chase against three drug smugglers, Gurpreet Alias Gopi fired at ASI Mandeep Singh, following which Gopi was injured in retaliatory firing and later died in hospital.
