VIDEO: Seized Bullet Silencers Turned Into Rocket By Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Police In Unique Crackdown On Noise Pollution

A craze to modify motorcycles and the silencers—especially of the Bullet motorcycle—is on the rise among youngsters. However, these modified silencers create loud noise like crackers and add to the noise pollution, which is often unaddressed by everyone.

However, the city police took an initiative and lodged a drive against such motorcycle owners. A special drive was launched over the past five months, and around 300 such silencers were seized. DCP Nitin Bagate, with his innovative idea to utilize the seized silencers and create an artwork out of them, planned to create a space rocket from them.

With the help of the industry's CSR funds, he got a structure made out of the seized silencers. The space rocket was made at Kirdak Autocom Pvt Ltd. The structure was unveiled on Saturday at the Kranti Chowk Traffic Island. State Social Welfare Minister and district guardian minister Sanjay Shirsat unveiled the structure.

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation administrator G Sreekanth, former mayor Nandkumar Ghodele, Vikas Jain, industrialist Sunil Kirdak, and other dignitaries were present. The initiative taken by the city police has been appreciated in all strata of society.

Bagate said that the initiative was taken to create awareness among the people about noise pollution in a unique way, and it reflects the power and importance of silence.
