‘Kohli bhaiya to dekh ke…’: Virat Kohli’s SPECIAL gesture for PBKS youngster Musheer Khan goes viral

New Delhi: Following Royal Challengers Bangalore’s win against Punjab Kings in Mullanpur on Sunday, Virat Kohli displayed a kind gesture towards a young Punjab Kings player. Kohli’s steady batting performance secured the victory for his team.

During the recent IPL mega auction, Musheer Khan, Sarfaraz Khan’s brother, was purchased for ₹30 lakh. He subsequently posted on Instagram that Virat Kohli had gifted him one of his bats, a gesture Kohli has reportedly extended to other cricketers, including Rinku Singh.

Musheer Khan expressed gratitude on Instagram, thanking an unspecified person for a bat and Virat Kohli for their support and affection.

A 20-year-old cricketer had a successful ICC Under-19 World Cup 2024, achieving the second-highest individual run total with 360 runs across seven matches. He also boasts first-class experience, accumulating 716 runs in nine games for Mumbai.

Despite a strong performance in last year’s Duleep Trophy, scoring 181 runs for India B against India A, the player remains unselected for the Punjab Kings. The team’s batting lineup already includes several established players, limiting opportunities for new talent.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by comfortably chasing a 158-run target. Kohli and Padikkal both scored fifties, while Krunal Pandya and Suyash Sharma led RCB’s bowling attack, each taking two wickets, contributing to PBKS’s third loss of the season.

Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have consistently performed well in the tournament and are likely to qualify for the playoffs. PBKS will next play Kolkata Knight Riders away, while RCB will face Rajasthan Royals at home.

Musheer aims to contribute to the Indian Premier League this season, mirroring the success of other young players. However, with only six league games remaining, his chances of playing appear slim given the team’s current performance.
