Shiv Sena (UBT) Leader Sanjay Raut Reassures Union Between Raj & Uddhav Thackeray; Criticises Shinde Faction's Intentions For Maharashtra (VIDEO)
Mumbai: Sanjay Raut, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and a Member of Parliament, held a press conference in Mumbai regarding the recent alliance talks between Uddhav and Raj Thackeray, acknowledging that it might unsettle "some people".
During the conference, Raut was questioned about his thoughts on the Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) leaders' criticisms regarding the unification of the Thackeray brothers, to which he replied that those individuals have no connection to Maharashtra and only wish harm upon others.
When Raut was asked about his cryptic post on X, Raut’s reference to “fire” on X was a metaphor for those fixated on the discussions surrounding their reconciliation, suggesting that once the alliance is actualised, they will be filled with despair.
Furthermore, he addressed the promotion of Hindi in Indian governance, arguing that such a shift could enhance national identity and strengthen relationships with the populace. Raut believes that linguistic reforms and unity among dissenters are crucial for developing a positive political atmosphere. His fundamental message emphasizes that empathetic leadership is vital for guiding Maharashtra and India toward a more prosperous future.
Raut views this alliance as progress and a move away from authoritarian practices, highlighting the significant role of the Marathi community during the Chalejao movement. He upheld the solidarity of Shiv Sena in supporting this coalition, urging stakeholders to look ahead to future benefits rather than dwelling on past grievances.
Raut acknowledged previous political shifts, such as the BJP’s earlier split from Shiv Sena, indicating that effective politics should prioritize the welfare of the state. In closing, he called for greater collaboration to build a promising future for Maharashtra, advocating for a collective commitment among party members to this vision.
