Mumbai Police Hosts 'Jagrut Mumbaikar' Awareness Drive To Educate Citizens On Safety

Mumbai: The Mumbai Police conducted the Jagrut Mumbaikar Awareness Program at Prerna Hall near Azad Maidan on April 15, drawing a strong turnout of 113 citizens. The initiative aimed to empower Mumbaikars with essential knowledge on public safety, legal awareness, and crime prevention.

The participants were educated on a range of topics, including cyber safety, traffic regulations, and crimes against women and children. The session also highlighted various Mumbai Police initiatives and helpline services available to the public.

A special focus was placed on spreading awareness about the newly introduced Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) laws, the dangers of drug abuse, and the growing threat of cybercrime.

Experts, including doctors, the Chief Security Officer, security personnel, and members of the Quick Response Team (QRT) and Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) were present, sharing insights and answering queries.

The initiative is part of a larger effort by Mumbai Police to create a well-informed and vigilant community. The program aims to raise awareness among Mumbaikars about cyber fraud and other crimes, as well as educate them about the laws.
