Don’t Miss This! Mahabaleshwar’s Grand Tourism Fest Offers Toll-Free Entry On THESE Dates—But Only If You Register

Every year, regardless of the season, the number of visitors to Mahabaleshwar keeps increasing. Now, the Mahabaleshwar Mahaparyatan Mahotsav has been organised for these tourists from May 2 to 4, and a toll waiver has been announced for the occasion.

However, to avail of this toll waiver, tourists must provide proof of advance registration for the Mahabaleshwar Mahaparyatan Mahotsav. The waiver will be applicable only if such registration can be verified. Since Mahabaleshwar is a popular destination with a daily influx of tourists, the Mahabaleshwar Giristhan Municipality faces an added financial burden in providing service facilities to visitors. To meet this cost, toll is collected from incoming vehicles and passengers at five or more entry points.

Fest to begin on May 2

The three-day Mahaparyatan Mahotsav in Mahabaleshwar will begin on May 2. The inauguration will be held on the first day, graced by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar. On May 3, a special cultural procession will be held on Sabne Road, offering tourists a glimpse into the region’s food culture. On the final day, May 4, cultural programs and folk art performances will take place.

More than a hundred tents will be set up, modeled after the Kutch Mahotsav in Gujarat. Tourists will also be able to enjoy boating and adventure sports at Venna Lake. The festival promises a fresh experience of Mahabaleshwar, and there is growing enthusiasm among tourists. With large numbers of travel enthusiasts heading from Mumbai and Pune to Mahabaleshwar, Satara, and Wai, all registered visitors will benefit from the toll waiver announced for the festival. However, they must show proof of advance registration to receive the toll exemption.
