Jharkhand JAC Class 10: Over 800 Answer Sheets Burnt In Fire At Dumka Evaluation Centre; Investigation Underway

Jharkhand Board Result 2025: A fire broke out late Friday night at an evaluation center in Dumka, Jharkhand, where Class 10 (Matric) exam answer sheets were being assessed. The incident led to the damage of nearly 800–900 answer sheets, with around 200–250 copies completely destroyed and the rest partially affected, as per the Prabhat Khabar reports.

The affected centre was located at Shri Ramkrishna Ashram Plus Two High School. Fortunately, most of the damaged answer sheets had already been evaluated and were stored in a separate room. Copies that are yet to be evaluated were kept in another room, which remained unaffected by the blaze, as per the media reports.

District Education Officer (DEO) Bhootnath Rajwar confirmed that there are four evaluation centers in Dumka. The fire was reported at 2:08 AM, when the center's director and acting principal of the school, Priyanka Kumari, was informed by the on-duty guard. She then alerted local authorities, as reported by Prabhat Khabar.

Firefighting efforts ensured the blaze was contained before it could spread further. Many officials visited the site in the morning for inspection. A formal complaint has been lodged at the local police station, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.

JAC Class 10th 12th Result 2025 Update

The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) will declare the Class 10th 12th Board Exam Results 2025 in the next few weeks. Students are requested to visit the official website at jacresults.com on a regular basis for updates regarding result announcements and related notifications.

The JAC Result 2025 will show crucial details like the student's name, roll number, father's name, mother's name, subject-wise marks, total marks, grade or percentage, result status (pass/fail), school name, subject code, and division (if any).
