Mumbai: The Mumbai Metro 3 released exclusive images of the Acharya Atre Chowk station on Sunday. The station is part of the highly anticipated Aqua Line 3—Mumbai's first fully underground metro. The official images were shared on platform X, adding to previously revealed glimpses of key stations like Worli, Dadar, and Siddhivinayak.

In a post shared on X, the Metro team highlighted the engineering challenge of constructing this station beneath one of the city's busiest areas, emphasising the balance of precision and planning that allowed the underground work to proceed without pausing the city.

An X post shared by Mumbai Metro 3 stated, "Here’s the first look at the Acharya Atre Chowk metro station constructed amidst relentless traffic, giant utility lines, and the heartbeat of Mumbai’s commercial and residential zones. Additionally, the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) gates at the station have also been revealed in the latest images. These gates are an essential part of the metro’s entry and exit system. The setup at Acharya Atre Chowk station reflects modern design and advanced technology.

The pictures revealed the well-constructed elevator located within the station premises, providing easy access for commuters, especially the elderly, the differently-abled, and those with heavy luggage. A wide staircase has been built, offering an alternative access route for passengers who prefer using stairs or in case of an emergency.
