Binod Chaudhary, founder of Wai Wai is Nepal’s richest person. His noodle brand competes with global giants like Maggi. His net worth is around Rs 15,025 crore according to Forbes. Chaudhary net worth is still far less than Indian businessmen like Mukesh Ambani Or Gautam Adani.
He was born in Kathmandu into a Marwari family and grew up in a business-oriented house. Chaudhary has made major contributions to philanthropy in Nepal. When Nepal was devastated by the 2015 earthquake, he donated over Rs 20 crore to rebuild schools and homes for affected families. He also provided 500,000 packets of Wai Wai noodles and cartons of juice, food, and water to assist disaster-affected communities.
Chaudhary also advocates for economic reforms and policies to promote growth in the country.
