MP April 21 Weather Updates: Bhopal, Indore To Feel Intense Heat; Heatwave Alert For Panna, Ratlam & 12 Others
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Several districts of Madhya Pradesh are under heatwave alert, with temperatures soaring up to 44°C. The scorching heat is affecting both days and nights.

Cities like Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, and Gwalior will see temperatures above 41°C. Heat will continue in other regions too.

According to meteorologists, temperatures will rise further in the coming days. Dry, hot winds from Rajasthan are expected to worsen the heat, especially in districts close to the border.
In the third week of April, north-west winds will dominate, pushing minimum temperatures to 25–27°C, while maximum temperatures may remain between 42–44°C. There is a chance of heatwaves for 2–3 days and light rain in some areas.

For April 22, heatwave alert has been issued for Neemuch, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Agar-Malwa, Rajgarh, Guna, Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Sheopur, Niwari, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Panna, and Sidhi. Hot weather will continue in other parts of Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, and Gwalior regions.
Whereas, on April 23, heatwave is likely in Ratlam, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Agar-Malwa, Rajgarh, Guna, Sheopur, Ashoknagar, Niwari, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Panna, and Sidhi.
Temperature records
On Sunday, Sidhi recorded the highest temperature at 44.2°C, followed by Tikamgarh (43.4°C), Khajuraho (43.2°C), and Shivpuri (43°C). Other eastern cities like Rewa, Mandla, and Satna also reported temperatures above 42°C.
Major cities were not spared either. Bhopal recorded 40.6°C, Indore 39.4°C, Gwalior 41.2°C, Ujjain 39.2°C, and Jabalpur 40.4°C.
