Amritpal supporters intend to target Amit Shah, Bittu, Majithia for extending his detention under NSA

Leaked screen shots of a chat among members of a social media group supporting jailed MP Amritpal Singh show their intention to target Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP MP Ravneet Bittu and SAD leader Bikram Majithia for the one-year extension given in the detention of Amritpal.

Sources said the chat screen shots and audio recordings have been shared with security agencies.

The group having more than 600 members is seen planning revenge against Bittu, Majithia and others for their alleged key role in keeping Amritpal in jail.

Amritpal’s detention under the National Security Act (NSA) was extended by a year on Friday.

Sources said that besides attacking these leaders the supporters may cause violence in Punjab.

As per the screen shots of the chat, they also intend to attack Parminder Singh Talwara, a close aide of late Deep Sidhu, the founder president of ‘Waris Punjab De’.

In the chat, volunteers offering their lives for the “cause” sought assurance that their families would be looked after.
