China shocks the world with its deadly non-nuclear bomb which can reach 1,000-degree Celsius, it’s made of…

In a significant development in global nuclear power race, Chinese scientists have reportedly created a new weapon, which is being called a non-nuclear hydrogen bomb. In the recent events which may sound an alarm for India, US and Taiwan, Chinese researchers have reportedly tested a hydrogen-based explosive device. Here are all the details you need to know.

According to a report by the South China Morning Post, during a recent test, a two-kilogram bomb generated a fireball reaching 1,000 degrees Celsius which lasted for over two seconds. Notably, the bomb does not contain any nuclear material. Instead, it is composed of a magnesium-based solid hydrogen storage material known as magnesium hydride.

As shown by Journal of Projectiles, Rockets, Missiles and Guidance, when magnesium hydride powder is ignited using conventional explosives, it decomposes, releasing hydrogen gas and producing a massive fireball.

‘Hydrogen gas explosions start with very little energy. Their range of explosion is large. Their flames spread very fast and go far. Because of this, the intensity of the explosion can be controlled. This can easily destroy targets in large areas”, CSSC scientist Wang Xuefeng’s team was quoted as saying in a report by the Navbharat Times.

Taiwan detects heightened Chinese activity
