'Veera Dheera Sooran - Part 2' OTT release: Actor Vikram's thriller to begin streaming on this date

Actor Vikram's Tamil hit Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2 will stream on Amazon Prime Video on April 24, as per the film's makers and the streamer. The SU Arunkumar directorial, released as the "second" part of a film that is to be made later, is hitting streaming nearly a month after its theatrical release on March 26.

The film saw Vikram playing one of his finest characters, Kaali, a family man with a violent past whose peaceful new life is disrupted when contacted by someone from his past to handle a problem that requires someone of Kaali's expertise. The film followed an interesting narrative pattern wherein the events in the first and the connections to each character are made apparent to audiences gradually, eventually leading to an intense third act rife with twists and double-crossing.

Dushara Vijayan plays Vikram's wife in the film. Also appearing in prominent roles are SJ Suryah and Malayalam actor Suraj Venjaramoodu alongside veteran actor Prudhvi Raj.

Veera Dhoora Sooran - Part 2 benefitted from the skilful direction of SU Arunkumar, an acclaimed filmmaker known for films such as Pannaiyarum Padminiyum (a Tamil Nadu State Film Award winner), Sethupathi, Sindhubaadh — all three starring Vijay Sethupathi — and Chithha (with Sidharth and Nimisha Sajayan).

G.V. Prakash Kumar composed the film's original soundtrack. Notably, the film incorporates a musical callback to Dhool, a popular Vikram film from 2003, with the song 'Singam Pola', composed by Vidyasagar.
