Andhra mariner detained in Iran for 9 months, family seeks govt help

The family of Pativada Venkata Rao, an Andhra Pradesh mariner detained in Iran since July 2024, is seeking help from local MPs to secure his release. Accused of oil smuggling, Rao was the captain of a Togo-flagged tanker intercepted by Iranian forces.
