Illegal vendors removed from Sec 26 mandi

A joint anti-encroachment drive was carried out at the Sector 26 fruit and vegetable mandi by the enforcement wing of the Municipal Corporation (MC) and the Market Committee members today.

Under the supervision of MC Joint Commissioner Sumeet Sihag, the team removed unauthorised vendors encroaching upon public spaces and hindering visitors’ movement. During the enforcement action, 43 challans were issued to the violators.

The MC authorities reiterated their commitment to maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the market areas across the city and urged the vendors to follow the norms.
