Arnav Jindal tops UT in JEE Main 2

Three students from Chandigarh and Mohali excelled in the JEE Main 2 results released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) today.

Arnav Jindal was the Chandigarh topper with 99.999 percentile. He secured the All India Rank (AIR) 36. Piusa Das of Mohali scored 99.996 percentile to emerge the Punjab topper. He got AIR 80. Ranveer Singh Virdi of Mohali followed him closely at AIR 97.

Jindal had also topped Chandigarh in Main 1 with a score of 99.996. Das too was the top-ranked student in Punjab with an identical score of 99.996 percentile.

Based on these ranks obtained in JEE Main Session 2, all three youngsters will be eligible to get admission to the top engineering colleges of their choosing, including National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) under the Central Seat Allocation Board guidelines.

Narayana Educational Institutions and Sri Chaitanya Institute achieved good results.

Besides Jindal and Das, Bani Brata Majee, who secured AIR 1 with a perfect score of 300/300 and 100 percentile, is also from the Narayana Educational Institution. “We are proud of our students and faculty for this incredible success," said Ashish Mishra, head and centre director of Narayana Chandigarh, claiming that 10 students ranked in the top 25 (open category).

Ranveer Singh Virdi also took coaching at Sri Chaitanya Institute. Among the other toppers were Arnav Sharma, Aabhas Gupta and Tejas, who secured 100 percentile in maths and Tanav Gupta, who had 100 percentile in physics.

Aakash Educational Services Limited’s (AESL) Chandigarh branch also had four students among top 1000 ranks. Keshav Bansal secured AIR 202, Shaurya Sharma AIR 314, Kavya AIR 474 and Pulkit Malik AIR 809.

Chandigarh
