Astronomers find strong hints of biological activity outside the solar system: Study

In a groundbreaking discovery, astronomers have detected potential biosignatures, dimethyl sulfide (DMS) and/or dimethyl disulfide (DMDS), in the atmosphere of exoplanet K2-18b using the James Webb Space Telescope. These molecules, typically produced by life on Earth, offer the strongest evidence yet of possible life beyond our solar system.
