NMRC officials said that there are a total of 21 stations on the Aqua Line. Out of these, a plan was made to start parking at 16 stations. The agency has been selected for four stations and tenders have been issued for 12 stations and applications have been sought till May 6. Any agency can apply for any one parking or all the parking lots. A separate application will have to be made for each metro station. Considering the average turnover of each metro station to be 25 lakh annually, applications will have to be made for more than this. The agency will be selected in May.

He said that very few people travel on the remaining five stations. In such a situation, there is no plan to start parking at the respective stations. Parking has been started at Sector-51, 142, Alpha One and 146 stations a few days ago. Digital boom barriers and other things have been installed at these places.

Android based mobile app will also be launched soon. Arrival and departure time will be visible when you reach near the automatic barrier at these places. People will be able to pay parking fee online. Apart from this, there will be an option to pay by cash.

Multi-storey parking will be built at Sector Alpha-1 Metro Station

Officials said that ridership is gradually increasing on this line. Due to this, parking is also needed at other stations. Multi-storey parking will be built for vehicles at Sector Alpha-1 Metro Station itself. More than a thousand vehicles will be able to park here. A large number of people come and go to Sector Alpha-1 Metro Station. Once the parking is constructed here, people coming to the Metro station as well as the nearby areas will have the convenience of parking their vehicles.

Sector-76, 101, NSEZ, Sector-83, 137, 143,144, 145, Sector-147, Sector 148, Pari Chowk and Sector Delta-1
