Illegal structures demolished

A District Town Planner (DTP) team carried out a demolition drive in the periphery-controlled and urban areas of the city, with special focus on illegal colonies emerging in the villages of Kona, Lahraundi and Khokhra. During the drive, a site each in Kona and Lahraundi and two in Khokhra were demolished, with DPCs and road networks being razed.

The action was carried out under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Monika Gupta in the presence of Assistant Town Planner Dimpy Rathi, Duty Magistrate Ashok Kumar, Assistant Planner Panchkula, along with police force.

Providing further details, the District Town Planner stated that prior notices had been issued to the violators before the demolition.
