BJP morcha holds protest against Cong on National Herald case
The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) today staged a strong protest against the Congress here. The protest began at the BJP office in Sector 33. Though protesters had planned to reach the Congress Bhawan in Sector 35, the police used water cannons to prevent them from advancing further. During the protest, hundreds of workers raised slogans of “Congress party murdabad”.
They also burnt an effigy of Rahul Gandhi, and expressed their anger against Congress’ corruption. On the occasion, the entire leadership of the BJYM and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was present and led workers.
State BJP president Jitendra Pal Malhotra accused the Gandhi family of turning the legacy of the freedom struggle into private property. Speaking on the occasion, he said that Congress had claimed Young Indian was a charitable organisation, but no proof of any charitable work had ever been shown in this connection. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted a thorough investigation into this matter, and Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi were currently out on bail, he said.
BJYM in-charge Ramesh Sahore said, “The youth are future of the country. They will not stay silent against corruption. This movement signifies the decisive role of the youth power.” He said the Congress’ language threatening institutions like the ED was a direct insult to judicial process, which cannot be accepted under any circumstances.
