Foresters pose as Maoists, FIR filed

An FIR has been lodged against five forest officials, including a range officer, for allegedly spreading false rumors about Maoist activity in an Odisha region declared free of insurgents two decades ago. The Anandpur range officer and his staff are accused of using these claims to intimidate poachers and consolidate their authority in the Keonjhar area.
