In a rare and dramatic wildlife encounter, safari tourists in Uttar Pradesh’s Pilibhit Tiger Reserve saw a tiger eating a python and vomiting later. The visuals showed the animal crossing a forest road, coming across the reptile's carcass, and feasting on it, only to see its health deteriorate shortly afterwards.

The video only shows the tiger eating the snake, it remains unclear whether it attacked and preyed on it.

The video ran for over a minute and captured the wildlife biting a dead snake on the roadside after a brief walk in the forest. The tiger initially approached the bushes and spotted a dead snake. With one of its legs, it first spread the carcass. Then, smelled the lifeless snake before feasting on it.

Seconds later, the tiger felt uneasy and started eating grass. The tourists were stunned to see the carnivore eating grass when the lifeless python was there too. When the people saw the animal not completely consuming the snake and resorting to some grass, they said, "Sher ko ghaas khate dekha hai kisine?".

Earlier, a photo of a tiger carrying a bag in its mouth reportedly surfaced online.

Addressing these incidents, an official from the tiger reserve told Hindiews media outlet Amar Ujala that the PTR administration has organised an emergency meeting of gypsy drivers and guides to understand the matter and take necessary precautions. The administration looks forward to track CCTV cameras and monitor the wildlife.
