Death toll from US airstrikes on Yemeni oil port reaches 33: Health Ministry
DOHA, Apr 18: The death toll from US airstrikes on the Ras Isa oil port in Yemen’s western province of Al Hudaydah has reached 33, and 80 people have been injured, the Houthi Health Ministry’s directorate for Al Hudaydah said on Friday.
“According to preliminary data, the death toll as a result of US aggression at the Ras Isa oil facility has risen to 33, with 80 injured,” the ministry was quoted as saying by the Almasirah broadcaster.
Most of the dead and injured are port workers and employees of port organisations, the report said. According to Al Hudaydah authorities, the United States carried out at least 14 strikes on the port.
On Thursday, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said that the US military destroyed Houthi-controlled fuel port Ras Isa. (UNI)
