At the same time, there is a possibility of thunderstorms and sudden strong winds in Lucknow, Barabanki, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Sitapur, Amethi, Ayodhya, Basti, Bahraich and Shravasti of eastern UP. On Thursday, 13 people lost their lives due to rain and thunderstorm. In view of the thunderstorm, rain and hailstorm, CM Yogi directed the officials of the concerned districts to conduct relief work with full promptness.

Anita Chauhan (40) wife of Manjesh Chauhan, resident of village Nearwan, died after being buried under a wall that collapsed in Srirampur police station area of ​​​​the district in Deoria. About a dozen trees fell. Electric poles have also broken at many places. An elderly man died due to lightning in Lalganj police station area of ​​​​Bastiya. There was also drizzle at some places in Kushinagar, Sant Kabir Nagar and Maharajganj. Five people including a six-year-old boy died and six people were injured in incidents of tin shed and tree falling in Barabanki. A woman died due to lightning in Amethi. Five people died in different incidents in Ayodhya.

CM Yogi gave instructions to the officials for relief work

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed the officials of the concerned districts to conduct relief work with full promptness in view of storm, rain and hailstorm. He said that the officials should visit the area and conduct a survey and keep an eye on the relief work. In case of loss of life and animal loss due to disaster like lightning, storm, rain etc., immediately distribute relief amount to the affected. The injured should be given proper treatment. The Chief Minister directed that the officials should conduct a survey and assess the crop loss and send a report to the government, so that further action can be taken in this regard. He directed that in case of water logging, arrangements for drainage should be made on priority.
