You never know what may hide behind the smile, what may be the reason why someone sits at the top position or what they had to endure to come through. Story to glory is often riddled with moments of struggle. Similar is the success story of Srishti Dabas, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer whose smile will make your heart smile and her story will leave you inspired.

Success Story of IAS Srishti Dabas

A story of strength and resilience, Srishti Dabas was raised by a single mother. According to a report by The Better India, her birth was not celebrated by her family because she was a girl child. After the separation of her parents, she was solely raised by her mother and they became each other’s pillar’s of strength through thick and thin.

“Watching her struggle, I made a promise. I wouldn’t just change her life, I would fight against injustice for the entire nation,” The Better India quoted her. This led to her determination to appear for one of the most challenging exams In India Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). She used to juggle with her job at Reserve Bank of India (RBI), prepare for her examination. But Dabas remained undeterred and strong headed about her end goal. In circumstance like these, a person moulds themselves for the better or worse.

“It wasn’t easy. Late nights, early mornings, endless sacrifices. But I refused to give up…Today, my mother doesn’t just hold her head high, the entire nation does,” she said. All her hard work paid off when she secured an All India Rank of 6! That was the  commencement of IAS Srishti Dabas.

Looking back at her academic excellence – she studied at Ganga International School in Delhi, where she topped the CBSE Class 12 board exams in 2016-17 with an impressive 96.33%. Later, she completed her BA in Political Science from Indraprastha College, followed by an MA in Political Science from IGNOU. Outside her studies, Srishti is also a skilled Kathak dancer.

According to Navbharat report, she is currently posted in Udaipur, Rajasthan.
