PM of Tibetan govt-in-exile calls on Sukhu

A delegation of the Tibetan government-in-exile, led by its Prime Minister Penpa Tsering, called on Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu here today.

The delegation apprised the Chief Minister that global celebrations to mark the 90th birthday of the Dalai Lama would commence in July this year and continue for one year. They extended an invitation to the Chief Minister to participate in this auspicious event.

The delegation also discussed various issues concerning the Tibetan community with the Chief Minister.

Former Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand Subhash Kumar and senior officials of the Tibetan government-in-exile were present on the occasion.
