CBSE workshop on curriculum framework in Shimla

DAV Public School, New Shimla, recently hosted a workshop on the national curriculum framework (NCF), organised by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The event brought together educators to discuss curriculum transformation in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP).

The workshop, led by CBSE resource persons Anupama Sharma and Aarti, focused on familiarising teachers with the foundational principles of the NCF. The sessions were designed to equip educators with the tools needed to implement meaningful changes in the classroom, with a focus on competency-based education, experiential learning, and holistic development.

Through interactive discussions, engaging activities, and real-life applications, participants explored innovative classroom strategies, assessment reforms, and the integration of 21st-century skills. The workshop also highlighted the importance of multilingualism in education and the need for holistic development in students.

According to Principal Rakesh Kumar Chandel, the workshop was a vital step towards empowering educators to drive positive change in the classroom. Venue Director Lovleen Sood noted that the event was well-received, with active participation from teachers who appreciated the hands-on approach and collaborative learning environment.

The workshop provided a valuable opportunity for educators to deepen their understanding of the NCF and its alignment with the goals of the NEP. With its focus on practical applications and collaborative learning, the event was both enriching and practically useful for teachers and educational leaders from various institutions.
