MP: EOW Ends Manually Investigation Of Corruption Cases; Prepares Software, Computerises All Complaints
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A long time has passed since the government work went through the computerisation process, but the probe agencies are still manually inquiring corruption cases. Now the EOW has changed the system. The agency has computerised the entire system on the pattern of e-file.
All complaints about corruption will be filed through computers. The senior officers will have all the information about the complaints. The information about which officers have taken what action will also be available online. The officials will upload on the system the action taken by the agency after receiving complaints.
The inquiry officer who issues notices will also record the statements. All information about the investigation will be available online. The agency will act against the guilty but will keep away from harassing the innocent. The officers will not be able to keep complaints with them for a long time.
The EOW has made a server to maintain secrecy of any inquiry and developed a software through which they will do all work online. At present, EOW has 2,200 complaints which it computerised to quickly dispose of them.
Director General of EOW Upendra Jain holds video-conferencing with the SP of any division to discuss the complaints and quickly handle them. The officials have been told to inform the higher-authorities about the progress of inquiry.
Cases to be kept on high priority
Director General of EOW Upendra Jain has categorised the complaints. The complaints which prima facie look suspicious have been kept on high-priority category to inquire these cases and reveal the truth. According to sources, if the inquiries move faster, some cases will be closed. Similarly, FIRs will be registered in some cases which have been swept under the carpet.
