Maharashtra schools to make Hindi a compulsory third language from 2025 under NEP rollout

Maharashtra will implement the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, making Hindi a compulsory third language in Marathi and English medium schools from the 2025-26 academic year. The rollout begins with Class 1 and extends to all grades by 2028-29. This aligns with the 5+3+3+4 educational structure, modifying the previous system.
