'L2: Empuraan' OTT release: When and where to watch the Mohanlal-starrer

Nearly a month after its theatrical release, and much noise from several right-wing groups for some of its portions that offended them, the makers of L2: Empuraan has announced that it will be having its OTT release, on April 24, on JioHotstar.
L2: Empuraan saw Prithviraj Sukumaran returning to the director's chair for the third time, for the sequel to one of Malayalam cinema's highest-grossing blockbusters, Lucifer, with which he made his directorial debut, headlined by Mohanlal, Prithviraj, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Indrajith Sukumaran, Sai Kumar, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Baiju Santhosh, Abhimanyu Singh, and many more.
After the controversy and the subsequent re-censoring of the theatrical version which removed certain portions, one can assume that the second version will be the one streaming on the platform.
The film kicked up a political storm over its references to the 2002 Gujarat riots and depicting one of the perpetrators as the antagonist, with right-wing outfits labelling the movie as "anti-RSS".
Following the backlash, actor Mohanlal apologised on Facebook, admitting that some parts of the film caused discomfort to certain people. He had also assured fans that contentious references would be removed from L2: Empuraan.
In its review of the film, THE WEEK said: "Murali Gopy's script is packed with enough events, some of which are played out simultaneously in a manner we often see in the Nolan films. (Empuraan even opens with a background score similar to the one in the opening sequence of The Dark Knight.) However, the narrative progressions lack the fluidity of the first film.
