Who Is Vincy Aloshious? Know About Malayalam Actress Who Accused Co-Star Tom Chacko Of Misbehaving With Her Under Drug Influence
Malayalam actress Vincy Aloshious is currently making headlines after she accused co-star Shine Tom Chacko of misbehaving with her under the influence of drugs. Vincy filed a complaint with the Internal Committee and the Monitoring Committee of the Kerala Film Chamber, along with the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA), and the producers' association.
On April 14, Vincy recalled her experience from the sets of a film where the male lead (Tom), under the influence of drugs, had misbehaved with her.
Who is Vincy Aloshious?
Vincy is known for her powerful performances and striking versatility. Born on December 12, 1995, in Ponnani, Kerala, she holds a degree in Architecture from the Asian School of Architecture and Design Innovation in Kochi.
Her entry into the spotlight began as the runner-up of the reality talent show Nayika Nayakan in 2018, which kickstarted her acting career.
She made her film debut with Vikruthi (2019), where she starred alongside Suraj Venjaramoodu and Soubin Shahir. Vincy rose to prominence with her standout performance in Rekha (2023), earning her the prestigious Kerala State Film Award and Filmfare Award for Best Actress in Malayalam cinema.
Over the years, she has taken on diverse roles in films like Kanakam Kaamini Kalaham, Bheemante Vazhi, Jana Gana Mana, Solamante Theneechakal, Padmini, and Pazhanjan Pranayam.
What did Vincy say?
"Once, when there was a minor issue with my costume, he came forward and said, ‘Shall I have a look? I’ll fix it for you,’ in front of everyone," Vincy said in an Instagram video, adding that she had seen him "exhale a white powdery substance" during the rehearsal.
Reportedly, the 'actor' Vincy referred to was none other than Shine Tom Chacko. It is to be noted that in 2015, Chacko and six others were accused of consuming cocaine at an apartment in Kochi. The prosecution had submitted digital evidence and photographs to argue that the drugs belonged to the accused.
However, the court stated that the prosecution failed to prove its case, and reportedly, no traces of drugs were found in the blood samples of Chacko and the others. The trial began in 2018, and in 2025, Chacko and the others were acquitted in the case.
