Sitaare Zameen Par Release Date: Aamir Khan Starrer To Hit The Big Screens On June 20; Set To Clash With These Movies?

Aamir Khan was last seen on the big screens in the 2022 release Laal Singh Chadha. The film failed to make a mark at the box office, and the actor decided to take a short break. He is now all set for his next movie which is titled Sitaare Zameen Par. There were reports that the film might release in June or December this year, but now, according to a report in Pinkvilla, Sitaare Zameen Par will release on June 20, 2025.

A source told the portal, “Aamir is looking to capitalize on the open run in the month of June. Initially, he was contemplating to arrive on May 30 , but a June 20 release is giving him a two-week clear run at the box office."

The portal has also reported that the trailer of Sitaare Zameen Par is ready, and Aamir is planning to attach with Raid 2. The Ajay Devgn starrer will hit the big screens on May 1, 2025. Nowadays, trailers are being launched just two weeks before the release of the film, but if Aamir attaches the trailer with Raid 2, then we will get to watch Sitaare Zameen Par's trailer one and a half month before it hits the big screens.

Well, on June 20, two films are already slated to hit the big screens, Rajkummar Rao starrer Maalik and Dhanush and Rashmika Mandanna's pan-India film Kuberaa. So, let's wait and watch whether there will be a three-way clash at the box office or there will be changes in the release date.

Sitaare Zameen Par - A Remake?

The movie is reportedly the remake of a Spanish film titled Champions. It is directed by R. S. Prasanna who is known for helming Shubh Mangal Saavdhan which starred Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar. Sitaare Zameen Par also stars Genelia Deshmukh in the lead role.
