If this becomes possible in the future, it will undoubtedly revolutionize travel between India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). According to media reports, trains on this underwater rail link could run at speeds ranging from 600 to 1,000 kilometers per hour.

Usually, a flight from Mumbai to Dubai takes around 3 to 4 hours. However, with the introduction of this futuristic underwater train, the travel time could be reduced to just 2 hours. In other words, this train could get you to Dubai even faster than a flight.

​According to a report by The Economic Times, a visionary proposal to connect Mumbai and Dubai through a 2,000-kilometer underwater high-speed rail link. This ambitious project, spearheaded by the UAE’s National Advisor Bureau Limited, aims to revolutionize travel between India and the UAE. As per the Economic Times report, if the project receives approval, the rail link could be completed by 2030. It is to be noted that the concept was initially proposed several years ago, recent discussions have brought it back into focus. The proposed rail link is designed not only to provide a faster alternative to air travel but also to support the transportation of goods, including crude oil, between India and the UAE.
