Isha Ambani joins FIVB Board: In a matter of good news for India’s growing global influence, the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) announced the appointment of Isha Ambani to its Board of Administration for the 2024-2028 Olympic cycle. Along with Reliance Industries’ Chairman Mukesh Ambani’s daughter, Australian beach volleyball player Louise Bawden has also been officially appointed to the Board of Administration of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB). Isha Ambani joins FIVB Board

Isha Ambani has joined the FIVB Board as the appointed member representing the gender-in-minority category. For those unversed, Isha is part of the executive leadership at Reliance Industries Limited and with her dynamic leadership qualities in the business world, she plays a key role across several group companies and others, including Reliance Retail, as per a report by news agency ANI.

“Blend of business leadership, innovation, and social advocacy would bring a fresh and powerful perspective to the Board”, FIVB said in its official statement while announcing Isha Ambani as its member.

Moreover, Mukesh Ambani’s daughter Isha Ambani heads the company’s Diversity and Inclusion programme, which works for empowerment of women in the workplace. With her unique perspective, and blending business leadership, Isha Ambani is expected to be a valuable asset to the FIVB Board, the report said.

Notably, three-time Olympian and the President of the FIVB Athletes’ Commission, Louise Bawden, was chosen by her fellow commission members to join the FIVB Board. She is a dual Olympian in both indoor and beach volleyball and has served on the Athletes’ Commission since 2021. She was elected as the President in 2024 for a four-year term. With Isha’s deep commitment to promoting the voices of athletes, she brings an invaluable insight to the Board.
