Meerut Murder Case: Woman Visited Temple With Husband Hours Before Strangling Him To Death With Lover; Planted Snake To Mislead Police
Meerut: A shocking new detail has emerged in the murder case of 25-year-old Amit Kashyap, who was reportedly strangulated to death by his spouse and her paramour.
Days after Amit's family claimed that he died of multiple snake bites, his wife Ravita has confessed to plotting his murder with her lover Amardeep.
According to police officials, just before the alleged murder, Ravita had gone to visit Shakambhari Devi temple, a religious pilgrimage that appears now to have been a cover for a calculated crime.
As per a report by Bharat Samachar, Amit had joined her on this spiritual trip and had reportedly performed a ritual called Dandauti yatra. Upon returning home, Ravita is believed to have contacted Amardeep, her lover and her husband's friend, to execute the murder plan.

Speaking about the case, SP Rural Rakesh Kumar Mishra told Bharat Samachar, "Ravita had an extramarital affair with Amardeep. There were frequent arguments at home once Amit found out. She then conspired with Amardeep to kill him. They strangled Amit and placed a snake near his body to make it look like a snake bite death."
Snake Used as a Decoy, Postmortem Revealed Shocking Details
Initially, Amit’s family claimed that a viper snake had bitten him ten times and had bizarrely stayed under his bed all night. The reptile was even caught by a snake charmer and handed to forest officials. However, a postmortem report ruled out envenomation, stating suffocation as the cause of death. Injury marks on his body further supported the murder theory.
The Police have now arrested both Ravita and Amardeep. The investigation is currently underway.
